Well we set up our stall today hoping the weather wouldn't be too bad, and it wasn't too bad except for the 30 mile an hour wind gusts which tried to take everything away! 😁 So in the end we packed up early. So sorry if you missed us. We will be on Station Road by the GP surgery bus stop again on Thursday from 10 to 12noon. Do come along and see us. The weather promises to be a lot better.

“It’s probably nothing”
These are often the first words people say when they begin to notice changes in their memory.

A missed conversation. Getting lost somewhere familiar. Struggling to find the right words. Behind those moments can be fear, uncertainty, and the quiet worry of what comes next - not only for the person experiencing them, but for husbands, wives, daughters, sons, friends and carers too.

During Dementia Action Week, we want people to know they are not alone.

At Help & Care, we have supportive, timely conversations every day with people at every stage of their dementia journey: from first concerns about memory, to diagnosis, to adjusting to life with dementia.

Sometimes people just need someone to listen. Sometimes they need reassurance, guidance, or help understanding what support is available.

Whatever the conversation, we’re here with compassion, understanding and practical support for both the person living with dementia and the people around them. Because talking about dementia early can make a real difference. And because no one should have to face dementia feeling frightened or alone.
