What a lovely morning at The Partnership Coffee Morning today ❤️

When we held our very first coffee morning around 25 people came through the doors. The second month we welcomed around 30 people… and today we had over 50 people join us at Annfield Plain Community Centre.

That honestly feels amazing.

Seeing people chatting, laughing, making connections and simply enjoying being together is what true community building is all about.

Today we had free refreshments, free bacon sandwiches and our spring clean giveaway products, which were a huge hit. Thanks to Stanley Town Council Multibank, Tesco Annfield Plain, Premier Annfield Plain.

Even more heartwarming was seeing so many people sign up for our new community event:

✨ Connecting Communities… Cleaning 1 Street at a Time ✨

It means such a lot to know how many people genuinely care about where we live and want to be part of something positive.

Our first community clean-up event takes place next Sunday from 10am until 12pm. The community centre will be open for free refreshments and snacks before and during the event, and together we’ll begin what we hope becomes a wonderful new tradition for our villages.

There are so many positive things happening in our communities right now and I really believe it’s important that we celebrate that. People are coming together, supporting one another, checking in on each other and building new friendships.

Thank you to every single person who is showing up, joining in, sharing ideas, volunteering, encouraging others and simply being there. Whether you pop in for a quick hello, stay for a chat, or join one of our groups or events, you are welcome.

Together we really can build bigger, brighter communities where people look out for one another, smile at familiar faces and end up saying hello to people they haven’t met yet.

And honestly… that’s something truly special ❤️

The Partnership monthly coffee morning is back this Saturday 23rd May from 10.00am – 12.30pm at Annfield Plain Community Centre

This month’s theme is SPRING CLEAN 🌼🧽 and we’ve got lots of helpful freebies to help give you a little boost and get started at home.

Whether you stay for five minutes or the whole morning, everyone is welcome. Come along for a chat, meet new people and help keep our community connected ❤️

Would you like to be more involved in what goes on in your community?

If you have some spare time to give, our communities need you. Come along to our meeting on Friday April 24th at 6.30pm at Annfield Plain Community Centre.

There are so many ways to make a real difference right here on your doorstep. You can join the local clean-up group and help keep our streets and green spaces looking their best. You can get involved in community gardening and help bring life and colour back into our shared spaces. You can lend your practical skills to fix things that have been left too long. You can support local groups and community centres that are there for everyone but always need an extra pair of hands.

Strong communities aren’t built by symbols, they’re built by people. People who show up. People who care. People who are willing to give a bit of their time to make things better for everyone who lives there.

It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’ve come from. If you live here, you’re part of this community.

If you’d like to get involved, find out what’s happening locally, or simply come along for a chat, you’re very welcome at our next Partnership meeting.
