Scouts have had the privilege of a special tour of the BA Heritage and History Museum this evening.

A fascinating collection of history and engineering.

Many Thanks to Jim for such a wonderful visit!

Is it October already? Our new friends have settled in across all sections, we 've played games, built things, gone camping and definitely earned some badges already!

This Saturday is Open Hut Saturday so do pop along from 10-12.

We'll have our secondhand and new uniform items for sale as well as space for a catch up!

Beavers would love to share their creations this week.

We’ve been doing some woodwork! Using tools they have made little hedgehogs. 🦔

A massive thank you to everyone who voted for us in the Tesco blue token scheme earlier this year, it’s thanks to your support we’re able to run sessions like this.

Can you help our Scouts?

We're working on building some big woodwork projects as patrols to enhance our outside space, and hopefully the community garden we're planning.

We're trying to recycle as much as possible for these projects and that's where we need your help!

We are looking for donations of offcuts of wood that the scouts can use to build their projects. Planks, long pieces, shorter pieces, anything we don't use we will recycle for other projects.

Please get in touch if you have any leftover wood from projects that we could recycle into these new builds, whilst learning some useful DIY skills!

We’re not short of members but we are in need of some more adult support for our sections, particularly Scouts!

No experience necessary, training provided and a great team to work with! You’d be helping us give over 100 local young people a place to belong, a chance to form friendships, develop skills and build confidence and citizenship habits that last a lifetime.

You don’t have to be available every week, you don’t have to be an expert in knots, you don’t have to have been a scout!

Please get in touch if you’re interested in starting your Scouting journey as an adult volunteer with 2nd West Drayton!

You don't have to be from our group to grab a secondhand uniform bargain. We have lots of new and preloved uniform items and outdoors wear, from coats to shoes. Lots of new slimline Squirrel jumpers and Scout activity trousers.
All items are £5 and every penny goes back into supporting our group.
Why not pop along between 10am and 1pm on October 3rd. It's a great chance for a chat and to purchase uniform for the term!

We’re very grateful to Crown Paints who have donated 60L of paint as part of their affiliation with Wickes Community Programme.

This means our hall can have a very long overdue repaint and freshen up over the winter term.

Our 10 bridge challenge is hike is getting closer but we're still a long way from our target. Can you support our young people on this challenge and help us with some much needed updates to our front signage?
Our hut signage is now over 20 years old, faded, broken and inaccurate. We're hoping to raise some funds to "makeover" the front facade of our Scout Hall. This will remove outdated details and help our community find us easily.
As a group we welcome over 100 local young people, aged from 4 to 16 every week as part of our regular programme, we have a dedicated team of adult volunteers who work hard to give these young people life skills, adventures and great memories with their friends. We aim to keep costs to parents as low as possible, in order to remain inclusive to all young people in our community. Fundraisers like this mean we can make much needed updates to our building without passing the cost onto parents.
Every pound counts and is greatly valued by our group, thank you in advance for your support.

Hello from 2nd West Drayton Scout Group! Once again our young people are … Heather Werrell needs your support for 2nd West Drayton Scout Group 10 Bridge Hike

How wonderful to have our hall full of games, laughter and fun again this week! It has been lovely to see all of our groups back this week, even our Young Leaders have been busy on their next modules!

Autumn term is a busy one and the weather means we have to get a bit more creative in our planning, what are you looking forward to this term?

Camping? Hikes? Woodwork? Skills evenings? Litter picking? Celebrations? So much ahead of us, where to start?
