😄 What an absolutely wonderful day!

🛶🛥Firstly I would like to thank all the organisers of the Moat Boat Race for a fantastic event!

🥳Secondly, a huge, massive thank you to all our wonderful volunteers and my volunteer coordinator Lisa, for all your hard work today. It's been an absolutely brilliant day; the sun was shining, everyone enjoyed themselves and we not only raised awareness of the wonderful work Wells Community Network does, but we had fun in the process 😀.

😊Thirdly, thank you to all, who visited our stall, played our games and supported us throughout the day ❤️

🥳Just a reminder that it's the amazing Wells Moat Boat race this weekend!

We will be there with our fun games (make sure to bring dome change 💰) and we will be speaking to residents of Wells about our work in the community.

🚗💙 Could you help someone from Wells and the surrounding area get to an important medical appointment?

At Wells Community Network, our volunteer drivers make a real difference to people in our local community.

For some people, getting to a hospital, GP, clinic or other medical appointment can be a real challenge. By becoming a Volunteer Driver, you can help someone get there safely, comfortably and with a friendly face along the way.

🌟 Why volunteer as a driver?

💙 You can make a genuine difference, helping someone access the healthcare they need and providing reassurance and companionship.

🚗 You can choose when you help, volunteering around your own availability means you can give as much or as little time as you are able.

😊 You will meet people and be part of something positive – our volunteers are what makes Wells Community Network.

🌱 Feel good knowing your time matters – every journey you provide can make a significant difference to someone’s day.

You don't need to be available every day. Every journey helps.

Karen Polly will be retiring from Wells Health Centre this summer. We would like to wish here well, and thank her for her support over the last six years. Good luck Karen!

Our Managing Partner Karen will be retiring from Wells Health Centre this summer.

Since joining the practice in 2014, Karen has shown unwavering commitment, professionalism and care in everything she has done. Her hard work, leadership and support have been felt by all.

The Practice would like to express our sincere gratitude for all that Karen has done over the years and wish her a long, happy and well-deserved retirement, with every success and happiness for the future.

💙 We will miss you Karen! 💙

Our new Senior Business and Operations manager will be joining us later this year and we will share more news when they join the practice.

If you would like to be a street coordinator or would just like to sign up to receive alerts about local burglaries and other crimes, contact us on [email protected]
Over the past year we've helped talks led by the police on: cyber crime, how to protect your house from being broken into and meet your local police.

😎 🌓While most of Wells was sat on the Cathedral Green to watch the eclipse, we were having our bi - monthly Micro-provider meeting The Lawrence Centre! We made sure we got outside to test our colanders and soak up the strangely dark and atmospheric evening but not one of us owned a pair of eclipse glasses!

✨Thank you to Tiffany Deacon from the District Nurses Team Somerset NHS Foundation Trust who gave a brilliantly informative talk and to Kim at Fresh & Good Sustainable Wells for the delicious dinner!
