Our aim is to encourage our members to enjoy being a Freemason, perform our ritual with pride, a professional attitude and always with a smile. Our members range in age from 26 to 90 years old and we currently have over 30 members in the Lodge. It is a Masonic tradition that after each meeting we sit down to a meal (Festive Board) at which a toast is raised to various parties. There are many Degre
es in Masonry and we assist our members on that journey, and everyone has the choice of how far they wish to progress in their Masonic career. There is support from within Freemasonry to help each Mason with every step that they wish to make. Each Lodge has a Lodge Mentor and he will appoint a personal Mentor from within the Lodge to each new member to assist them with their journey
One of our objectives is to raise money for charities, national and local ones i.e. We also encourage our members to nominate charities that they are close too. We hold our regular Lodge meetings at The Westwood Masonic Centre in Bellegrove Road, Welling five times per year, on the fourth Wednesday of September, November, January, April and June. We enjoy a meal together after each meeting that we call the Festive Board. We take the opportunity to celebrate St. Georges day at the Festive Board of our April meeting. We have also celebrated Burns Night at the January meeting. We hold weekly Lodge of Instruction to practice the ritual and to help our new members. These are held from Early September to Mid-July every Tuesday, again at the Westwood Centre in Welling with a few pints in the bar beforehand.
