About The Arts Society, Sevenoaks

The Society is a member of The Arts Society that was founded in 1968 as the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies. Sevenoaks became the 41st Society to be registered in 1972 and today we have an enthusiastic membership and maintain an active and friendly Society. We organize lectures, outings and study days for our members and provide a focus locally for people to share and enjoy an interest in the arts.

Through our Young Arts programme, we award a grant each year to an art student and sponsor an annual lecture at a local school.

The heritage of one of our historic churches has been recorded by the Church Recording group, and the Heritage Volunteers have undertaken book restoration at Penhurst Place and Lullingstone Castle.

New members are always welcome.
