We run a social hub every Tuesday for our clients in Watford. This offers a warm, relaxed environment for people to chat, take part in a range of activities and meet other people. We have regular visits from community service providers, including health care professionals, council representatives and well-being experts.

Just some of the activities include a monthly resin art session, stretch and relax classes and a singing session!

We’re busy preparing our Christmas hampers - small parcels of happiness that mean the world to the refugees, migrants and people seeking asylum, who we support.

For many, rebuilding life in a new country is incredibly tough. Some arrive alone, unable to speak English, and without any social network at all.
💛 Imagine spending Christmas in complete isolation.

Our hampers offer comfort, hope and the reminder that someone cares.

The WTRRP charity quiz took place last Friday evening and was a great success! Thanks so much to those who generously donated raffle prizes, including ADS Smart Home, Andrea Chishti https://www.embodyforyou.com/listing.php?id=372394 and Fran at Seams Possible. Thanks also to the Pump House Theatre & Arts Centre for hosting us. The compare was excellent and the samosas were very yummy! We are very grateful to our fabulous volunteers for organising this and we raised £600. It was a really fun night.

We have recently had some great news regarding several grants that have been acquired by our fantastic fundraising members…

Hertfordshire Community Foundation is going to fund the on site training of volunteer caseworkers to give them the skills required to help our clients.

Hertfordshire County Council will pay for cultural outings for the ESOL students to broaden their education and enable them to practice their English in different settings.

Souter Charitable Trust will help clients pay for new school uniforms.

We are so grateful for these amazing opportunities and want to thank all those involved.
