🍛 Supper Club Night 🍛

Last night a group of us enjoyed our latest Supper Club, this time at Penshaw Tandoori 😊

The food was absolutely delicious and the service was lovely too, so a big thank you to all the team there for looking after us so well. 🥘🌶️

Our Supper Clubs are such a lovely chance to get together, have a good catch-up and enjoy each other’s company with lots of chat and laughter.

A really good fun evening – thank you to everyone who came along. 🥰🍽️

Looking forward to the next one! 💜

We had a really lovely September WI meeting 😊

A big thank you to Tony from Northumbria Blood Bikes for coming along to tell us all about the amazing work they do 🏍️🩸

It was really interesting hearing about how the volunteers give up their own time to deliver blood and urgent medical supplies between hospitals, outside normal working hours. I think we all came away knowing a lot more about what goes on behind the scenes and just how important their work is. ❤️

We’d also like to say a big thank you to Judith Russell from our sister WI, Bowes Belles, who came along to support Tony on the night. Judith is also a volunteer controller with Northumbria Blood Bikes, so it was lovely to have her there too 😊

Thanks again to Tony and Judith, and to everyone who came along. Another lovely WI evening 💜🏍️🩸

We have had an invitation from Marsden Rockettes WI to join them at their special evening with Meredith Towne, if you’ve not been to a Meredith event you’ve missed a treat. If you get the chance to go along to this you won’t regret it, always informative and highly entertaining.

🎨✂️ A lovely evening of creativity! 💌

Tonight’s craft session saw us creating some beautiful handmade greetings cards, using contrasting images, colours and designs to produce some really striking results. 🌸🎨

We were expertly guided by our own very talented Margaret, who shared her ideas, inspiration and know-how with us, and somehow made it all look so easy! 😊

A really enjoyable evening of crafting, chatting and creating together. Thank you so much to everyone who came along. 💚

💚 From a North East family business to a global name…

We’re delighted to welcome Ian Beattie from Barbour to our next Washington Station WI meeting.

Ian will be sharing the fascinating story of how this local family business began and grew to become the internationally recognised brand it is today. We’ll also hear about the principles and values behind the Barbour Foundation and its charitable work. 🌿

📅 Tuesday 18 August
⏰ 6.45pm

It promises to be a really interesting evening celebrating a business with its roots firmly here in the North East. 💚

Visitors are very welcome! If you’d like to join us, please message us to book your place.😊

What a brilliant evening! We welcomed back Marie Thom who gave her new talk I.Am.A.Woman to our members at our monthly meeting.

Funny, reflective and inspiring. Thank you Marie 👏❤️💪

Another successful talk with another gorgeous group of W.I. ladies.

Thank you Washington Station WI for making me feel so welcome. I love that some of you follow my page, and I’m chuffed that some of you are going to come and see the show.

I’ll see you there! ###
