🚨 Photo Upload Update... Please read to the end 🚨
Good news (or bad news, depending on how much you've enjoyed seeing football photos appear on your timeline!)... we only have 58 photos left to upload after today's 10! 🎉⚽📸 Thanks Blue Ribbon Photos
For those who may have joined us recently, these amazing women took part in Gaynor's Goal Football Tournament on Saturday 18 April 2026, what would have been Gaynor's 51st Birthday.
Football was always one of Gaynor's greatest passions. Before serving with the Royal Military Police and later working in the Civil Service, she loved playing the game. During her Army career she represented the AGC, but as often happens, life, work and commitments gradually took over.
Fast forward to when Patricia suggested holding a formal black-tie dinner at Manchester United. It seemed like a sensible enough idea... until our good friend Pippa casually suggested, "Why don't we have a football match that morning as well?" 🤔⚽
And just like that....
The rest is history.
Women players from the Adjutant General's Corps SPS, RMP, ETS, The Royal Logistic Corps, both serving personnel and veterans, alongside a fantastic local women's football team, came together to support and raise awareness for St. Rocco's Hospice and Target Ovarian Cancer.
Whilst the football tournament may now be firmly in our rear-view mirror (apart from the remaining 58 photos... yes, we're counting), our mission continues.
Many of you will know that one of Gaynor's final wishes was for us to continue supporting the hospice in any way we could, whilst also raising awareness of ovarian cancer. That remains at the heart of everything we do.
So, what's next?
A relay challenge! 🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃
But this relay isn't just about miles covered or batons passed. In many ways, we're already taking part.
Yesterday, Patricia was playing pickleball at her David Lloyd Warrington gym whilst wearing her Gaynor's Goal T-shirt. At the end of the session, a lovely young man approached her to ask about the shirt. Patricia explained the story behind Gaynor's Goal and our mission.
His response stopped us in our tracks.
He shared that his own mother had sadly passed away from ovarian cancer in May 2025 and that he would like to support Gaynor's Goal in raising awareness.
That conversation wasn't planned. There was no event, no fundraiser, no social media campaign. Just a simple question about a BPB Projects T-shirt.
And that is exactly how we can pass the relay baton.
One conversation at a time.
One story at a time.
One person at a time.
Because every conversation creates awareness, every awareness creates understanding, and every understanding has the potential to save lives.
Plans for our relay challenge are well underway, and everyone who expressed an interest should now have received an email. If you registered your interest but haven't seen anything arrive, please send us a message here or email [email protected]
And don't worry... only 58 photos to go.
Unless someone discovers another memory card hidden in a drawer somewhere... 😬📸
