RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY!

Can you help Rashda who is a second-year MSc student in Occupational Therapy at Leeds Beckett University.

Rashda is conducting research exploring South Asian women's experiences of caring for relatives with dementia.

Aimed at -

 South Asian women (Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan and other South Asian heritage)
 Aged 18 or above
 Been a carer for at least 6 months or more
 Family member they care for has a formal dementia diagnosis
 Participants can communicate in English (verbally and in writing) to participate in the study

Yesterday the group enjoyed a reminisce session by the Police looking at videos, old adverts and police memorabilia.

Some of the group even got to try on some police uniform.

We are meeting tomorrow!

Do you have a dementia diagnosis, care for a person with a diagnosis or interested to find out more about dementia then why not join us.

We meet every fortnight at Whittle Hall Community Centre at 11am. Each week we take part in stimulating activities and enjoy a meal together.

There is no charge and no need to book. But, if you would like to chat with us before you attend please contact Dipak on 07966 068 279.
