🌈 A little update from Little Rainbows Playgroup 🌈

We’re taking a little break for the rest of the year, but we’ll be back in the new year! 💕

As many of our regular little ones have now taken the exciting step of heading off to big school, our numbers have naturally become a little smaller. So, we’re using this little pause as an opportunity to reflect, plan and think about how we can continue to make Little Rainbows the best it can be for the families who need us 🫶🏻

Little Rainbows is a playgroup for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), medical needs, sensory needs and developmental delays, including speech and language delays.

It’s a place where there’s no judgement, no pressure and no need to explain. Just a chance for little ones to play, explore and make friends, while parents and carers connect with other families who truly understand❤️

While we’re taking our break, please continue to share our group with any families you think might benefit from having a safe space to connect with others on a similar journey. You never know who might need to find us🌈

A huge thank you to every family who has supported Little Rainbows, joined us, shared our posts and helped make it the special little community it is today. We’re so grateful to you all❤️

🌈 Who is Little Rainbows for? 🌈

At Little Rainbows Playgroup, we believe every child deserves a safe, welcoming space where they can play, learn and grow at their own pace. 💚

Our playgroup is for children with SEND and additional needs, including those who may have:
✨ Developmental delays
💗 Medical needs, including visual or hearing impairments
⏳ Referrals or assessments they are currently waiting for
🏡 Home education or who are awaiting a suitable school placement

We understand that finding the right environment for your child can sometimes feel overwhelming. Our aim is to provide a calm, supportive and inclusive space where children can explore, have fun, build friendships and develop confidence — while parents and carers feel welcomed too. 🫶

No two children are the same, and that’s something we celebrate. 🌈

Play. Learn. Grow — together at Little Rainbows. 🤍

We hope all your little ones going back to school, a new school or starting for the first time have had a smooth transition into the routines 🌈
Routines are key for children and especially children with SEND. Resources are out there and it can be really simple to help ease anxieties. You can use symbols or take photos to make it personalised to your child and their routine.
Our next session is Monday 21st September 10-11:30am, we have some examples of now and next boards and communications boards if anyone wants to have a look at what has worked for our children at different stages.

Rainbow cake 🌈

One of our gorgeous families brought in a rainbow cake for their last session before starting school this week.
It was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, huge thank you!

We have a few regular families with little ones starting school in September and we are going to miss you all so much. It’s been amazing getting to know you and watch you develop and we can’t wait to catch up in October half term 🫶🏻
