We are so grateful to have been chosen as the charity partner for this yearโ€™s Teas in the Garden events.

It means such a lot to have local support like this, and every penny raised will help Warminster Action Group continue supporting people in our community through practical help, friendship, connection and a safe place to belong.

This sounds like such a lovely afternoon, with homemade scones, cakes and plenty of tea. Please do pop along if you can and help support a wonderful local event.

Thank you so much for supporting WAG.

It's almost time for the first of our '๐‘ป๐’†๐’‚๐’” ๐’Š๐’ ๐’•๐’‰๐’† ๐‘ฎ๐’‚๐’“๐’…๐’†๐’' events of 2026!

We look forward to seeing you!

๐Ÿ’™ Meet Julia ๐Ÿ’™

As part of Volunteers' Week, we'd love to introduce you to Julia, one of our wonderful volunteers.

After retiring last year, Julia joined WAG as a community shopper, befriender and prescription deliverer. What started as a way of helping others quickly became something that made a positive difference to her own life too.

Thank you, Julia, for everything you do for WAG and the people we support.

๐Ÿ’™ Meet Richard ๐Ÿ’™

Richard joined the WAG Community Shed last September after moving to Warminster just a year ago.

One of the things that struck him most was what a public-spirited place Warminster seemed to be, and after getting to know the people at the Shed, he decided he wanted to contribute too.

Richard enjoys making and fixing things and even creates reproductions of ancient tools to discover what they were really like to use.

The Community Shed isn't just about making things. It's about sharing skills, meeting people, learning from each other and being part of something.

If you've ever thought about coming along to the Shed, why not give it a try?

Ever wondered what volunteering with WAG is really all about? ๐Ÿ’™

Volunteers' Week is the perfect opportunity to come and see for yourself.

Throughout the week we'll be opening our doors, sharing what we do, introducing you to some of our amazing volunteers, and showing how even a small amount of time can make a huge difference in our community.

Whether you're interested in befriending, helping with shopping and prescriptions, getting involved in the Community Shed or Creative Space, or simply want to find out more about WAG, we'd love to meet you.

The great thing about volunteering with WAG is that it's flexible. We know people have busy lives, so whether you can give an hour a week, a few hours a month, or just want to explore what's possible, there's no pressure.

Come along, have a chat, enjoy a tea, coffee and cake, and discover what makes WAG such a special place.

Everyone is welcome and there's no need to book.

We look forward to seeing you there ๐Ÿ’™

VOLUNTEERSโ€™ WEEK IS COMING TO WAG ๐Ÿ’™

Weโ€™ve got a whole week of lovely community events coming up and weโ€™d absolutely love for you to come along, whether you already volunteer with us, have been thinking about it for a while, or just want to pop in and see what WAG is all about.

One thing we always try to say at WAG is that volunteering doesnโ€™t have to take over your life to make a difference. We know people are busy. Work, families, health, caring responsibilities, life in generalโ€ฆ itโ€™s a lot!

Thatโ€™s why we try to keep volunteering as flexible and welcoming as possible. Sometimes even giving just an hour of your time can make a huge difference to somebody else.

During the week weโ€™ll be celebrating our amazing volunteers, opening our doors, chatting about what we do, and hopefully encouraging some new people to come and join our little WAG family too.

Thereโ€™ll be tea, coffee, cake, chats, plenty of smiles, and absolutely no pressure.

Come along, say hello, and find out more about:
๐Ÿ’™ Befriending
๐Ÿ’™ Shopping & prescription support
๐Ÿ’™ The Community Shed
๐Ÿ’™ Creative Space
๐Ÿ’™ General volunteering with WAG

Weโ€™d really love to see you.
