NEW EVENING SESSIONS AT THE WAG COMMUNITY SHED

Would you like to learn some practical woodworking skills, meet new people and make something you can be proud of?

We’re pleased to be launching a FREE six-week evening programme at the WAG Community Shed.

Over the six weeks, participants will learn practical woodworking skills using hand tools and make their own wooden toolbox.

But it’s about much more than woodworking. The Community Shed is a friendly and supportive place to meet others, build confidence, learn something new and enjoy being part of a group.

Starts: Tuesday 13 October 2026
Time: 7pm–9pm, every Tuesday for six weeks
Where: WAG Community Shed, Wilson & Kennard Yard, Warminster
Places: Maximum of six participants
Cost: FREE
No previous experience needed

The programme is open to new participants aged 18 and over. With only six places available, booking is essential.

Today is the final Teas in the Garden for 2026 and thankfully it’s a lot sunnier ☀️ than yesterday!

Due to the amber weather warnings, we have made the decision to close The WAG House and Community Shed for the next two days, to help keep everyone safe.

Please don’t worry if you receive support from WAG. Our other services, including community shopping and prescription collections, will continue as usual unless we contact you directly.

We will review things on Thursday and decide then whether the Community Shed will be open on Friday.

🧵 Can you sew? ✂️

We're looking for people who can help us with a special community project.
Wiltshire Search and Rescue have donated a number of old jackets that we'd love to transform into useful items such as tote bags, drawstring bags, dog treat pouches and more.

Not only will this help give the jackets a new lease of life, but the items will be sold to raise money for both Wiltshire Search and Rescue and WAG, supporting two local charities that make a real difference in our communities.

Whether you enjoy using a sewing machine or prefer hand sewing, we'd love to hear from you. This is a community project, so there will be lots of different ways to get involved, whatever your experience or skill level.

It's a great opportunity to use your sewing skills, meet like-minded people and be part of something creative that helps others.

(Seated exercises 10:30am – 11:30am)

The exercises run for an hour, and the rest of the time is yours to sit, have a drink, chat, and get to know people

You’re welcome to stay for the full session or just come along for the exercises — whatever feels right for you, It doesn’t cost anything to come along.

Due to the high temperatures, we have made the decision to close the Community Shed and Creative Space on Friday 26th.

These upstairs spaces can become very hot, so we feel this is the most sensible decision for everyone.

Other WAG services will continue as usual unless we contact you directly.
