Next weekend welcomes Herts Book Festival to town on Sunday.
Taking over both floors of the Southern Maltings, the book festival is a great opportunity to meet and support local authors.

In addition, the organisers have eleven different activities and workshops from Todder Rhyme Time and a Spooky Stories workshop for children in the morning to Nature Writing and Adult Storytelling in the afternoon.
Please book workshop sessions in advance, as sessions have limited spaces. Sessions range in cost from free to £12.

The SMart Cafe will be open for refreshments and fabulous cake!

For more information, visit the Herts Book Festival website.

Music & Motors 2026 is approaching, and it will take place on Saturday, August 22nd, in Tudor Square in the centre of Ware.
As always, if you have an interesting "Motor", it could be a car, van or perhaps a motorcycle that you would like to bring along, then please get in touch.
Motors are asked to arrive at about 11.30 and stay until 5 pm. It is a very small, friendly local show with an afternoon of music performances.
If you would like to bring a vehicle, please message us here on Facebook and let us know what you would like to bring. Due to the nature of the square, space is limited.

It's a warm welcome to Ware for Maker + Mind, who open their new studio at Number 3 Baldock Street today (May 2nd).

This new creative business will combine a studio, gallery and shop with an emphasis on well-being and the wider benefits of creative activity.

They are open today until 5pm, so do pop in, say hello and see what they are up to.

It is great to see another business opening in Baldock Street and hopefully helping to revitalise what is currently an underused part of town.
