The role of the PTA is primarily to support the school in fundraising and building community. Fundraising. The PTA raises money to support our School by organising various events throughout the year. The biggest events are the Summer and Christmas Fairs which have stalls, drinks, rides, food tents and entertainment. Other fundraising events include the Quiz Night, Race Night and monthly cake stall
s. Supporting the School, Parents and Children. The PTA supports the School by paying for various activities throughout the year as well as responding to specific funding requests from the School. Each year, the PTA pays for:
- transport for two school trips per year per class
- two School-wide events per year
The PTA also pays for specific requests from the school, for example, in January 2015, 16 new iPADs were purchased for the School. In addition, the PTA support the school by helping to co-ordinate helpers for various school-run events, such as the International Tea Party, the School Planting Project and the School Reading Team. Building our School Community. A key aim of the PTA is to help build a close-knit school community. As such, we run events that are simply about having fun to help build relationships amongst parents, carers, teachers and children. These include the summer BBQ at the end of the school year, school discos, Father's Day Rounders, parents drinks and coffee mornings.
