Statement from Independent Alliance Walsall

We are deeply shocked and saddened by the violent incident that took place in Pleck Park, where a young boy was brutally attacked.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the young boy, his family, and the wider Pleck community during this very distressing time. No family should have to endure such a traumatic experience, and the fear and concern being felt across the community is completely understandable.

We have been informed that the Police are actively investigating this serious incident and are working to identify those responsible. We welcome the assurances that steps are being taken to support the community and ensure public safety.

Independent Alliance Walsall stands firmly with the people of Pleck and condemns all forms of violence and hate. Our communities deserve to feel safe in their parks, streets, and neighbourhoods.

We urge anyone who may have witnessed anything or who has any information, no matter how small, to contact the Police immediately. Your information could be vital in helping bring those responsible to justice.

At this difficult time, we also encourage everyone to refrain from spreading speculation or rumours online and instead show respect, compassion, and support for the young person and his family.

Our community must stand united against violence and work together to protect the safety and wellbeing of all residents.

We are a community movement for a stronger Walsall.

At this stage, no final decisions have been made regarding the upcoming elections. However, the movement continues to grow, with individuals from across Walsall showing their support.

Members and supporters are joining from Palfrey, Delves, St Matthews, Pleck, Birchills, Aldridge and Rushall.

Over the coming days, we will begin sharing posters introducing members of the movement as our community network continues to expand.

Umran Mir currently serves as the Coordinator of Independent Alliance Walsall, helping to bring together residents who believe in a new direction for our town.

Independent Alliance Walsall is a community-driven movement committed to:

Unity • Justice • Progress

Working together for all faiths and all communities to build a stronger and fairer Walsall.
