Ethan's Journey 21

Ethan's Journey 21 We are Ethan's mom and dad, Laura and Carl. After Ethan finished his treatment in Dec 21 he wanted to buy all the children still on the ward some toys.

We set up the charity to give something back to Ward 18 at Birmingham Children's Hospital, where Ethan was treated back in 2021 for Burkitts Leukemia🎗️We now raise money to provide toys, equipment and supplies for other families on the ward. We decided to do some fundraising to make this possible. Then we did some more fundraising and from there Ethan's Journey became a registered children's chari

ty in Feb 2025, No 1212269. The charity now consists of 5 trustees and a selection of official fundraisers. Our aim to is to continue to buy toys for the children on the ward and help support the hospital with anything they need to help make the awful journey these children go through as easy as possible. So far we have donated
1000's Tubie Cheek stickers - fun patterned stickers to hold the feeding tubes in
131 tubs of Nesquik milkshake powders - the funding had ended
100's of colouring books and felts - who doesn't love colouring! And we can't count the amount of toys we have handed out

Please join us on our journey of bringing smiles to the children's faces during a difficult time, no child should have to spend growing up in hospital, missing fun activities, birthday parties and even school is a better place to be!

We have had an amazing time over the last two weeks. The beach, ice creams, museum trip, garden centre, camping and much more. Love spending quality time together. We highly recommend a trip to Barry Island and Fagans History museum

Well what a weekend it’s been 😮‍💨 the girls did the 50 mile walk, raised over £400 for the charity and have the biggest blisters ever 😣 Huge well done to Keely Adams and Abbie Palmier, what’s next 😂😂

Ethan and I started the world’s hardest jigsaw in the week, I finally finished it today. Ethan gave up after 10 min of starting it and went to build his Lego car instead as it was easier 🙈 he’s just finished that as well.

Today’s update.

The girls are at the half way point, just reached 25 miles. I went up and joined them for an hour to break the day up. Feel a bit mean only doing 4 miles but I’m not as young or as fit as I was 🤣🤣

Coming up on the 8th August Ethan’s sister and best friend Abbie are walking 50 miles to raise awareness of our charity.

If you see them along the route from Telford to pure gym in Wolverhampton to finish the walk off (not safe to be on the streets at night) give them a shout. We may have some guest walkers on the day too 😁

They estimate the walk will take roughly 18hrs with toilet breaks etc, they must be crazy 🤪
