Changing Spaces unit closed until further notice.
Due to continued vandalism over the weekend, we have had to close the Changing Places unit 😢. This time, the flush has been broken and the door has been damaged, as well as the plants removed from the BBQ area. Apologies for the inconvenience.

We’re beyond excited to announce that the Ellis Lake Foundation now has a brand new HQ! 🏢✨

This incredible new space is a huge step forward for us and the community we support 💙

Not only will this help us continue supporting children and young people with additional needs and disabilities, but we’re also hoping to begin offering a variety of training courses and community-based sessions in the future 📚✨

Our vision is to create a welcoming hub where people can:

🌟 Access support and guidance
🌟 Build confidence
🌟 Connect with others in the community
🌟 Create brighter futures together

We also want to give a huge thank you to the amazing property agent who helped make this possible by sourcing empty properties that can be donated for charitable use. Without this incredible support, opportunities like this simply wouldn’t happen 🙌💙

5 weeks ago our Ellis mobility lifeline vehicle broke down. Vertu Ford Newcastle tried their utmost to resolve the issue, but due to the adaptations they were unable to carry out the repair.

Unfortunately, Allied Mobility have been extremely disappointing throughout this process. After numerous phone calls, they only collected the vehicle towards the end of this week. A formal complaint email was also sent and has gone unanswered.

Based on our recent experience, I personally would not recommend Allied Mobility for customer service. Something has clearly changed over the past 6 months — and not for the better.

If you’re looking for a mobility vehicle provider, I would seriously consider looking elsewhere.

Scrolling through social media this morning we saw an advert for thechocolatesmiths We had no idea they existed so had to take Ellis our very own W***y Wonka! He loved looking for Oompa Loompas in the chocolate making room and we thought the counter looked like a scene right out of Charlie and the chocolate factory! The staff were amazing and took the time to tell us about the origins of the chocolate and make sure Ellis fitted in the booth for some photos!

Edit to include our chocolate stash! Ellis didn’t manage his yesterday as dystonia took over and he was too uncomfortable. He’s had plenty today and both boys love the bubblegum flavour created for Cash for Kids
