The 15th Wallington Scout Group provides fun and adventure for young people with additional needs. We provide Scouting for young people aged between 6 and 14 years and have strong links to the sections providing continued Scouting for 14 to 25 year olds with additional needs. Our activities range from arts and crafts to cooking, camping, games, water activities, learning new skills and exploring o

ur community. We follow the programme of the Scout Association making adaptations where necessary to suit the needs of the young people in our group.

In Scouting when someone passes on we use the phrase 'Gone Home' alongside the tracking sign of the same meaning.

This week we learned the sad news that our former Scout leader Jo had gone home. Jo bought fun and laughter and adventure to the group over many years, as a parent helper, a section assistant and then taking over the troop up to the pandemic in her unique style.

Despite not being active in the group more recently her impact will live on through the young people she led.
