📸🍻 PUB SCAVENGER HUNT – ARE YOU READY FOR A PHOTO ADVENTURE?

Forget sitting at home scrolling through old photos… on Wednesday 9th September, we’re heading out with our cameras for a fun-filled Pub Scavenger Hunt! 📷

You’ll have 45 minutes to explore the local area and capture your own interpretation of five mystery photography prompts. Will you find “Something Red”, “Refraction” or “Unexpected Textures”? 👀📸

Then it’s back to the pub to relax, have a drink, compare photos and enjoy some good company! 🍻

No pressure. No complicated rules. Just explore, capture, connect and have fun!

What do you get when Wallington Photography Club heads to Brighton for a day out?

A lovely day by the seaside, plenty of photo opportunities… and of course, some very photogenic deck chairs! From colourful stripes and seaside scenes to cameras at the ready, we had a brilliant day enjoying Brighton and each other’s company.

Sometimes the best photographs come from simply getting out, exploring somewhere new and having fun with fellow photographers!

📸 WE’RE BACK! – WEDNESDAY 2ND SEPTEMBER

After our summer break, Wallington Photography Club is back for a brand-new season! 🎉📷

And what better way to start than with a relaxed evening sharing our 5 Favourite Images?

It’s a chance for members to show some of the photographs they love most, whether they’re technically perfect, personally meaningful, funny, creative or simply a favourite because they captured a great moment.

It’s also a great session for anyone thinking about joining us. There’s no competition, no pressure and no need to be an expert. Just come along, enjoy some photography and get to know the club and our friendly members.

🖤 The Stories of Everyday Life 📸

Not every photograph needs a grand setting or a dramatic moment. Sometimes, the most interesting stories are happening right in front of us.

A person waiting for a bus, friends sharing a conversation, a quiet moment on a park bench or someone simply lost in their thoughts — these everyday moments can become fascinating photographs when captured at just the right time.

Monochrome adds another dimension. Without colour competing for our attention, we can concentrate on expression, body language, light, shadows and emotion. It can make a simple moment feel more timeless and invite us to imagine the story behind the photograph.

📸 Photography is often about noticing what others might walk straight past.

The summer break is almost over… and we’re getting ready to kick off a brand-new season at Wallington Photography Club!

Our first session is Wednesday 2nd September at 8pm, and we’ve got another fantastic programme of photography, creativity, challenges, competitions and social events lined up.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, an experienced photographer or simply enjoy taking photos and want to meet like-minded people, you’ll be very welcome.

So dust off your camera, charge your batteries and get ready for another season of photography, fun and friendship!

🖤 Everyday Life in Monochrome 📸

Some of the most powerful photographs can be found in the ordinary moments of everyday life.

Monochrome photography strips away colour and allows us to focus on people, expressions, gestures, light and emotion. From someone enjoying a quiet coffee to commuters rushing through the city, a conversation between friends or a fleeting moment on the street, black and white can turn everyday scenes into timeless stories.

Without the distraction of colour, we notice the little details — a glance, a shadow, a smile or the way someone moves through their surroundings.

📸 BORED OF TAKING THE SAME OLD PHOTOS?

Ever find yourself taking the same type of photos over and over again? Same subjects, same angles, same ideas… sound familiar?

Maybe it’s time to shake things up!

Try a different perspective, experiment with light and shadows, get closer, step further back, try something completely unexpected, or simply photograph something you’d normally walk straight past.
Sometimes all it takes is looking at the world a little differently to discover a whole new side to your photography.

At Wallington Photography Club, we love encouraging each other to try new ideas, experiment and, most importantly, have fun with photography.
