The trees are The Loop are showing signs of autumn fruit. The pink and orange Spindle fruits are a delight to look at. An example of nature's clashing colours! The inaccessible apple tree will yield its garvsst to the local wildlife!

Today we weeded the beech whips planted earlier this summer. They were the smallest of the whips we received then so we hope by weeding them, they'll put on more growth.

Wirral Heritage Open Days
Friday 11th - Sunday 20th September

The annual Wirral Heritage Open Days programme is organised by the Wirral History and Heritage Association, with the help of volunteers from community groups across the Wirral.

The programme of walks and talks celebrates the built and natural landscapes of the Wirral. Choose from events at New Ferry Butterfly Park, Birkenhead Park, Callister Trust Garden, RSPB Burton Mere Wetlands, Eastham Country Park, Royden Park, Ness Botanic Gardens... and many, many more!

The Pride in Place Seacombe project is gathering feedback from Seacombe residents on how funding could best improve the area.

We’re particularly keen to hear from ethnic minority communities, whose voices are often underrepresented in projects like this.

We found this bush in flower today among the dogwood saplings grown from seed. It's a Himalayan honeysuckle! It's a surprise when we saw seeds and get unexpected results. Now what shall we do with it?
