Today we started planting the beech whips we collected last month from Forestry England They have been in a bag so the new leaves are etiolated, lacking the light to allow photosynthesis. Now in the open ground they should thrive. We planted around 285 today so have about 320 left to do.
Why not help us on Thursday afternoon? We meet at 2pm.

It was a lovely surprise to see the dog rose in flower today. This and others are ones we grew from seed collected on Mossland's field before the hedge was removed.
