Access riders are one of the things we get asked about most.

Not sure how to respond to one? You're not alone. So we made a guide.

Free, practical, and built for anyone working in the arts who wants to support disabled artists and colleagues and isn't always sure how.

It covers:
β†’ What an access rider is and why it matters
β†’ What do to do when you receive one
β†’ How to provide access effectively
β†’ How to embed this into your organisation's practice

Definitions. Checklists. Case studies. Real advice from lived experience.

Whether you're a producer, programmer, venue manager, or decision-maker: this is your starting point.

For some, a holy pilgrimage to Lourdes is all prayers, candles and proper holy contemplation.

For this mad bunch of disabled kids, it’s bevvys, mucking about and getting off with each other - and definitely no miracle cures!

Join four young pilgrims as they take on ridiculous rules, awkward exes, secret crushes, and the big question nobody ever asks: do disabled people actually want to be cured, or are we perfectly fine as we are?

A play by Laurence Clark Comedian.

Here's where we're headed.

We've just published our 2026–27 organisational plan and we're sharing it with you.

One mission: commissioning extraordinary work from disabled artists that changes and challenges the world. We keep going until equity exists across the whole cultural sector.

The plan sets out our goals across five strands of work:

✦ Commission
✦ Develop
✦ Support
✦ Connect
✦ Change

We're working towards the day we no longer need to exist. Until then, we keep going.

Mark your calendars πŸ‘€

Unlimited Symposium 2027 is coming to London: 15–17 March 2027.

Three days. An international gathering of disabled artists, cultural leaders, organisations, funders, policymakers and allies from across the UK and around the world. One shared goal: real, lasting change for disabled-led arts globally.

"The world has changed faster than the cultural sector has. Disabled artists are navigating shrinking budgets, hostile policy environments and a global rights backlash – all while making some of the most vital work. The Unlimited Symposium 2027 exists because that contradiction needs a reckoning. The field deserves a space ambitious, accessible, and international enough to hold it. In a moment when so much is being undone, driving the sector forward and calling our allies to action is the most useful thing we know how to do." - Cat Sheridan, Senior Producer

πŸ”— Register your interest now: bit.ly/4nxG32S

The symposium is supported by Arts Council England and Arts – British Council, and made possible in partnership with Battersea Arts Centre, East Bank, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Europe Beyond Access, Sadler's Wells, and the Southbank Centre. Together, we’re building something that goes beyond one event.

We're gathering in London for a three-day international symposium for the global cultural sector.

We're looking for disabled artists, creatives and producers to join our panel and help decide which artists get supported and which work gets made.

25% of the UK is disabled. 100% of the artists we commission are.

Disabled artists belong at the centre of culture, not the margins.

By showcasing and supporting the amazing breadth and quality of work by disabled artists, we want to open doors for our artists to work with other organisations, too.

Ambitious work. From local to global stages. Disabled artists are change-makers, leaders, creatives.

Meet them on our database: bit.ly/4mYn5Ck
