HMP Not-4-Me

HMP Not-4-Me Early Intervention specialists https://hmpnot4me.co.uk/ Crime robs us off lifes opportunities. This is why it is so important to behave in School.

Our Innovative, Fun & Engaging sessions focus on life lessons to support good choices in Schools, Colleges, YOT & other organisations. Exciting, Insightful and Inspiring Educational Experience
HMP NOT-4-ME is a fantastic educational experience of a unique but extremely important kind, targeting year 5 and 6 pupils with key messages; provoking emotional thoughts and feelings of how crime affects th

emselves, their families and their community. A little known fact is…

The Criminal Age of Responsibility is Only 10 Years of Age! HMP NOT-4-ME understand that teachers are concerned with not only academic attainment of their pupils but also teaching them about life lessons and making good choices to provide the best chance of success in their future. This is vitally important considering a child can be arrested from the age of 10. Children may think mischievous, bad behaviour or naughty actions in or out of School might just get them a telling off; but their conduct could be against the law and they can be arrested, cautioned, charged or even imprisoned! HMP NOT-4-ME appreciate the world around us is changing at such a pace and the outside influences affecting children are hard to keep up with not only for teachers but parents as well. They seem to know so many more things and at a much younger age than ever before and this influences their attitude and behaviour inside and outside of school. To help guide and steer children to make the right choices it is important that they understand the consequences of their actions. True understanding comes not only from being told what to do or not to do but also the reasons why it is important. HMP NOT-4-ME’ emphasise that Breaking School Rules can be a first sign the young people will go on to Break the Law and many people in prison fit this profile. We are passionate about helping schools and communities to help tackle this problem and as such have set up and organisation which aims to provide education of a different kind. HMP NOT-4-ME brings a real life replica Prison Cell to your School along with a day of education and understanding of the consequences of choices and behaviour. This can help aid parts of their Citizenship, PHSE, SEAL & SMSC learning journey.We providing learning opportunities and experiences in a fun but informative manner utilising inspiring and innovative workshops to cover such topics as; Bullying, Cyber Bullying/Safety, Assault, Alcohol, Drugs, Theft, Road Safety, Behaviour, Rules, Law, Choices and Consequences. HMP NOT-4-ME experience will show challenging pupils most at risk of criminal behaviour the realisms and restrictions prison life brings. In addition we highlight to all pupils many aspects of children’s lives that can also be affected by crime. A criminal record can affect a university placement, applying for a job, insurance, voluntary work or licenses of various kinds including your DBS check (New CRB Check). A criminal record can also affect family holidays as certain countries won’t allow you a Visa. It is a certainty that committing a crime puts you at a disadvantage! HMP NOT-4-ME have a range of packages available to suit different requirements. The experience is enhanced with a range of equipment and apparatus including pupils wearing replica prison uniforms, drunk buster goggles, educational drugs box, police mannequins, crime scene, Pupils wearing white CSI suits and work booklets for every pupil. The subjects we discuss are valuable to children. We have the professional knowledge to answer any question on crime, the law and many other sensitive social topics that they find scary or upsetting.

Although hard to understand in the moment... When we have negative experiences, failures and knocks it builds character, resilience and knowledge. We become better!

Tell young people and yourselves too, that life will knock you down. But as Rocky said "Nobody is gonna hit as hard as LIFE, but It ain't about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

❤️‍🩹Mental Health is so prominent and helping young people have an understanding how bad times helps them grow, learn and become the great person they are.

When they get through a bad period they need to tell themselves 'WELL DONE'.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the previous councillors who have worked with and supported our work (Including Peter who did a fine job as consort) ❤️ (there are many more councillors than those featured in the photos).

Thank you for your contributions to your communities at every level. We are sure many of you will remain active and continue supporting the initiatives you helped shape. In the meantime, enjoy some well-deserved rest. When the time is right, we're sure many of you will stand for re-election again, and we wish you every success.

We would also like to welcome the new councillors to Wakefield and wish them all the very best in their roles, as they begin their new journey. We look forward to building positive relationships and working together ❤️.

We already have meetings arranged to discuss how we can continue supporting our communities and making a difference. We appreciate the prompt responses and kind words we have already received about our work from the new councillors.

Tonights Open Access detached youth work summary at Thornes skate park with iAspire2 CIC😊

Upon arriving at the location we were approached by two young people who reported that an unknown individual had been going through their bags. They expressed concern about their belongings and asked if we could store their bags securely in the van. We agreed and safely stored the items, helping to reassure the young people and reduce any immediate concerns around theft or conflict.

🗣️ Our presence in the area appeared to have a positive impact, as the individual in question and several other young people moved away from the location shortly after our arrival. This helped to de-escalate the situation and created a calmer environment for engagement. We maintained a visible and approachable presence throughout, ensuring that young people felt supported and able to speak with us if needed.

🗣️ Following this, we spent time engaging with a number of young people through informal conversations. Discussions covered a range of topics, including school, hobbies, future aspirations, and local activities. These interactions helped to build rapport and strengthen relationships, allowing young people to feel heard and valued.

🗣️ A particularly positive conversation took place with a young entrepreneur who proudly shared details of a brand he has established himself. It was fantastic to see such initiative, creativity, and determination at a young age. We were able to encourage and praise his efforts, discussing the skills and commitment involved in developing a business venture. This provided an excellent opportunity to celebrate a young person’s achievements and promote positive aspirations within the group.

Agbrigg Sport England Project 👌🏼⚽

Having fantastic success here getting young people moving on Saturdays. Anywhere between 12 and 32 young people turning up to practice some skills ⚽

In our small sided games we've had 8 passes before a goal as we encourage team work!

Not only does this get young people moving, it improves health, wellbeing and community connections.

There's so many players who are good enough for grassroot clubs. Wakefield City FC ⚽

Unreal response again Wednesday to our Mobile Youth Club under Open Access in conjunction with Central Youth Hub - Wakefield at Thornes Park. 40 Sandwiches all gone, alongside, fruit pots, pop, crisps, chocolate and (bagels courtesy of Mark from Warburtons) for Families.

Soon as the van arrives Children gather! It's brilliant and we love to see full bellies and smiling faces! We get to watch all the tricks too 🚲🛴

A few wins over the time we've been here;
* Gave chain oil to several bikers.
* Gave a helmet to a rider who couldn't afford one.
* Prevented a theft.
* Stopped bullying in progress.
* Patched up many knees.
* Provided reassurance.
* Offered Guidance on Safety & Crime.
* Talked about careers in Police & Prison.
* See community at it's best together ❤️

Massive Thank you to Wakefield Street Kitchen Anna Natasha Howard for everything you provide us with! The Food, Equipment etc and Warburtons for the bagels 😊 Also Sarah at Amazon for the equipment we give to the young people.

We aren’t going to put facts or bullet points on a poster. This is a simple message.

* Speak to your children about water safety.
* In a fast-paced life, we as parents can forget.
* The sun suddenly appears after long cold months, and people naturally head to the water.

We must always reflect after tragedy.

RIP to everyone across the country who has sadly lost their lives in water this weekend ❤️

iAspire2 CIC got voted for alongside 7 other organisations last night to deliver our 'Life Opportunities' project on behalf of People Fund West Yorkshire. 4 minutes seemed like 30 seconds and was harder than being on set on Coronation Street 😂
Some great organisations present and lovely to catch up with Madeleine France (Blossom Training) another successful winner.
As always West Yorkshire's Deputy Mayor For Policing and Crime was on top form!
