Some of our most experienced paid staff started their career volunteering with us.

📣 Not every person gets the support they need after a brain injury. That’s not acceptable. At Second Chance, we aim to ensure no one faces the challenges of brain injury alone.

💙 The total fundraised at our Spring Ball last week - an amazing amount!

⭐️ A huge thank you to everyone who attended and supported the evening, with special thanks to Jane Horton and our Ball Committee for delivering another wonderful evening of fundraising and support for people affected by brain injury.

This year marked Jane’s retirement from our Board of Trustees after years of dedication. Jane has played a huge role in the success of our Spring Balls over the years, we are extremely grateful and wish her all the very best 👏

Today, Tommy visited us to receive his Certificate of Appreciation from Nathan in recognition of his fantastic efforts and generosity.

Support like this from young people in our community really does make a difference and helps us continue improving life after brain injury.

We were delighted to take part in Wall Fest today, celebrating 200 years of Waterton’s Wall – the world’s first nature reserve 🌿 🐰

We received such a warm welcome and a brilliant talk from the organisers, highlighting this very special part of Wakefield’s history—proudly endorsed by Sir David Attenborough. 👏

Our members had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We’d highly recommend a visit if you get the chance!
