Made in Malawi - Mwana Africa Nursery and Primary School Mwana Africa is a school/day-care center that provides education and support to children from the local community.

Mwana Africa – The school of good hope, is the first project by the UK Charity "Made in Malawi" whose mission is to set up sustainable development projects in Malawi. A percentage of the places at the school are reserved for local orphans and other children with special needs. For these students, Made in Malawi, with help of those who support us, pay for uniforms, learning materials and school fee

s. The remainder of places at the school are offered to fee paying students who pay a small amount per month to attend. The income received from the school fees is vital in making this project self-sustainable; it pays for the teachers wages and other school running costs. The school currently supports over 350 children from the local community. Made in Malawi fronts all of the costs associated with the development of the school but our long term mission is to make the institution capable of sustaining itself. We will always be there to offer support whenever the school needs it, however for us to be able to achieve our mission, it is important that we can hand the project over to the community to manage unaided.
