An update from the Chairman after a meeting with Arsenal
Firstly, thank you for all of your emails, comments, feedback & thoughts regarding this Sunday.
We are absolutely amazed and deeply disappointed by the complete lack of care, thought, and inclusion shown towards disabled supporters for the Arsenal Champions Parade. We have been unable to agree a solution.
For a club that speaks so proudly about community and togetherness, it is shocking that no dedicated disabled supporter facilities, viewing areas, accessibility support, or clear provisions appear to have been put in place for one of the biggest celebrations in recent club history.
Disabled fans are not an afterthought. We are loyal supporters who follow this club home and away, through every high and low, and we deserve the same opportunity to celebrate safely and with dignity as every other supporter.
Accessibility should never be treated as optional. It should be planned from the very beginning, especially for a major public event organised around thousands of fans.
We hope Arsenal take this feedback seriously and engage properly with disabled supporters moving forward so this situation is never repeated again.
Regards
Daniel Bailey
