We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant from Continuo Foundation! This grant will enable us to perform our new programme of French music for viol consort based on our latest CD ‘Les Âges du Monde’. We are immensely grateful to Continuo Foundation - without their support, rehearsing and performing is extremely difficult and risky. This grant gives us the stability and creative freedom to bring together wonderful people to perform wonderful, little-performed music. Thank you!

We’re delighted to introduce Banbury Town Hall as the new venue for the Linarol Consort’s ‘Epitaph for a Green Lover’ concert on Saturday 26th September, part of the Banbury Early Music Festival. Join us for a captivating evening of early music with the Linarol Consort and soprano Héloïse Bernard.

We’re very much looking forward to welcoming you to this wonderful space and are hugely grateful to Banbury Town Council for making it available to us. Our sincere thanks also go to the Continuo Foundation for generously supporting this concert and helping us bring this music to Banbury.

Featuring Renaissance viols, rebec, pipes and drums, the programme weaves together songs and instrumental works into a vivid musical journey, centred around the poignant chanson Soubz ce tumbel and the touching story behind Jean Lemaire’s Epitaphe de l’Amant Vert.
