Dunsfold is supporting Ultra Extreme Athlete and British Army veteran Darren Hardy, who is attempting to set a new world record by pulling a 1.5-tonne Land Rover for 100km in 100 hours. Held at Blackbushe Airport in Surrey between 20 March and 24 March, Darren will be harnessed to one of the Collection’s Stage 1 V8 88 prototypes. Find out more by visiting our website

We’re very excited to announce a rather special addition to The Dunsfold Collection, The Defender 110 that on 8 August 2008 became the first road vehicle to cross the Bering Strait between Russia and Alaska during the Cape-to-Cape Expedition has joined us! This world record setting vehicle will be on display at our spring open day…

A busy day today with the arrival of the first part of Peter West’s amazing collection of Land Rover models! Peter, who is a long-standing Friend of Dunsfold and a Gold Wall of Fame Supporter, has donated his incredible collection to us. We think it is probably one of the best in existence!

Our Spring 2026 Open Day will be held on Saturday, 25th April, from 10am until 4pm.

Tickets will be available to buy on our website from Sunday, 2nd November.

The theme for the Open Day will be 'Amphibious Land Rovers' featuring the Collection's Cowes Week G-WAC Discovery and the Australian OTAL. We'll have an exciting guest vehicle joining us for the day as well, and there will be some more surprises that we'll be announcing in the New Year.

We’ve got a date for your diaries!
Our second open day of 2025 will be held on September 20th, tickets on sale now via the website.
We are delighted to announce that our latest acquisition, the factory’s 1981 Series III V8 88 concept vehicle known as the Yellow Peril, will be on show at our Autumn Open Day, joining a unique display that will include the surviving Series IIa V8 88, the two Stage I V8 88 prototypes, and the NAS 90 prototype. There will also be a Defender 50th Anniversary V8 courtesy of a Friend of the Collection, and we hope to be joined by a more recent Defender on the same V8 short-wheelbase theme! A truly unique gathering!
