Would you like to be in a pantomime?
..oh yes you would! Award winning Saffron Players will be holding auditions in June 2026 for their January 2027 pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk. Read on for further details:

Saffron Players Jack and the Beanstalk Pantomime Audition Information

Sunday 14th June 2026 1-4pm - Youth Workshop & Auditions
Tuesday 23rd June 2026 7-10pm - AGM & Readthrough
Sunday 28th June 2026 from 12pm - Adult/Main Cast Auditions

All held at the Saffron Walden Town Hall

- Rehearsals start in September 2026 and all cast must be available on Tuesday evenings and (from October) some Sunday afternoons
- Show dates are in January 2027
- Youth must be age 10 from 1st January 2027 up to 2026/27 school year 10
- Youth from 2026/27 school year 11 can attend the adult/main cast auditions
- Youth audition registration is required by email
- Adult/main cast audition registration is by email or by attending the readthrough
- All ages welcome to audition (although being cast cannot be guaranteed)
- Please email if you would like to assist with one of our backstage teams

It really does mean a lot to be nominated for the Best Pantomime in the NODA East Region District 7 for our 2025 production of Robin Hood.

Well done to Centre Stage Company for their winning production.

Also huge congratulations to our friends and colleagues at Saffron Walden Musical Theatre Company - SWMTC for their nominations and wins.

It’s a good time to be involved in amateur dramatics in Saffron Walden 🎭

This is the moment before the magic really kicks in — our Stage Manager, Hugh, gathering the cast on stage for those all-important final words before we head into tech rehearsals.

Lights, sound, cues, quick changes, and a lot of organised chaos are about to descend… but this is where it all starts coming together. 👀✨

Huge respect to our stage management team for keeping Camelot running smoothly (and the rest of us in roughly the right place at the right time 😄).
