Stables Christian Centre, Bolnhurst Encouraging vulnerable adults to develop their own value and talents. The grounds are managed to encourage a wide variety of wild plants and natural habitats.

The Stables focuses on giving practical work experience within a safe environment to different groups of vulnerable adults. Our clients are encouraged to discover their own value and talents and to gain the confidence to fulfil their role in the outside community. We are herb specialists and grow over 140 varieties of herbs and wild flowers. We make our own preserves, usually from fruit grown in the grounds or locally. We create herb products, crafts and home-made greetings cards.

It’s National Apple Day 🍎🍏. We produce a variety of apples here that we use in our jams- Apple and Blackberry and Apple and Fig as well as in some chutneys- Apple, Cucumber and Apple, Christmas and Kashmir. Our trees have now been pruned ready for next year’s harvest

As we mark the Autumnal Equinox tomorrow we can be grateful for all the lovely fruits we get this time of year. These are some of the ones you can buy from us that remind me of Autumn- Apple and fig, Hedgerow and our 2 plums. Also you can enjoy our seasonal Apple and Blackberry at Wooden Hill Coffee Roasters with some freshly made butter and sourdough bread
