🌟 Small Charity Week Member Spotlight: The Cats Whiskers 🌟

This Small Charity Week, we're celebrating the incredible work of smaller ADCH member charities that make a huge difference in their local communities. ❤️

Today we're shining a spotlight on The Cats Whiskers in Alloa, Scotland. Founded in 2018, this dedicated rescue and rehoming charity works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome cats and kittens in need across Clackmannanshire and the surrounding area. They also support local pet owners through initiatives including a pet food bank, owner education and practical welfare support.

With a passionate team of staff and volunteers, The Cats Whiskers provides care, treatment and a second chance for cats who have experienced neglect, abandonment or difficult circumstances, helping them find the loving homes they deserve.

Small charities like The Cats Whiskers are often deeply rooted in their communities, providing life-changing support for animals and owners alike. Their impact reaches far beyond the cats in their care. 🐱❤️

We held our AGM last night, reflecting on the past year, the 187 cats and kittens we cared for and found homes for, the thousands of households across the Forth Valley and beyond that benefitted from our pet food bank, and so much more! 🥳

Looking to the year ahead, we are seeing increased need for our support, and we are ready to meet the demand: we have recently entered a neutering partnership with Cats Protection, we have taken on our very first staff member... but, our greatest challenge is going to be ensuring our shelter can weather the storm, quite literally! After years of temporary fixes, our roof is now beyond "patching up", and we need to replace it fully.

Through applying to trusts and foundations, we have secured just over £30,000 towards this work. But, still need a further £40,000 to make our new roof a reality.

So we are asking YOU, our amazing followers and supporters, to please help us RAISE THE ROOF. Any support you can offer, be it a donation, a like, a share to help us reach a wider audience, will be hugely helpful to us 🙏

We have been so lucky with our Community Charity partnership with Pets At Home Stirling . We were at the in-store Vet yesterday and checked out the donation bin!
WOW. Our food bank will be overflowing this week with lots of goodies for cats and dogs.
Thank you everyone who adds to all the donation bins. It allows us to help keep pets with their owners.

WOW! another week has shot past us. We've been super busy with our wee charity. Lots happening and lots of cats needing our help and support. We're open Sat and Sunday 1-3 for people looking for their new cat or kitten!

Our thanks to Pets At Home Falkirk for this fabulous donation yesterday. Not sure what we'll do with the Guinea Pig Hutches but if you're Guinea Pig needs a new hutch give us a message.
