A special day occurred yesterday. The first playing of the "Paul Goode Memorial" trophy in recognition of OAFs members that have passed away.
Paul Goode died on 3rd July 2025 so it was appropriate to play yesterday, almost a year later.
There was a good turn out of players from the OAFs, friends and relatives.
There was a competition played but it was really about remembering Paul and the members that we have lost.
Iain Gorrie won the game and was presented the silver salver trophy by Paul's daughter.
It is intended to repeat the event yearly.

It has been a while since posting on here so apologies for that. To update everyone we decided not to have a Knockout Cup competition this year. We have however had two events so far this season - "The Nasty" and "The Par 3 Contest".
"The Nasty" was won by Mark Melbourne and this was the 4th time he has won the event having been the very first winner back in 2013. Well done Mark - enjoy the handicap cut!
"The Par 3 Contest" is held at Nailcote Hall every year. A beautiful 9 hole Par 3 course which challenges the best of players. This year it was won by Ethan Keene, one of our newer members and Ethan's first OAFs trophy win. Well done Ethan!
This Saturday (4th July) many of the OAFs players are playing a 9 hole memorial game in memory of Paul Goode who sadly passed away almost a year to the day on 3rd July 2025. A silver salver has been produced called "The Paul Goode Memorial" which will remember passed OAFs players. Along with Paul's name there is Mick Arnold who we sadly lost a while ago.
The pictures show Ethan receiving the Par 3 trophy from Mark Melbourne and Mark receiving the Nasty trophy from Brian Large, last years winner.
