🐦‍⬛🧡 This week our Home Ed/Flexi Forest School group were treated to a bird ringing demonstration with Kevin, Dillon, Ben and Andy. 🐦‍⬛🧡

🗞️ Kevin is a qualified bird ringer and has a permit to ring birds as well as train others to ring birds. Kevin and his students use large nets which the birds fly into then are extracted with great care to be weighed, measured and recorded before being set free. 🗞️

🐦 We saw a Magpie, Blackbird, Thrush and super cute little Blue Tit chicks in the nest. 🐦

Thank you all for taking the time and sharing your knowledge.

Hello W.I.L.D. folk

Here's a little update of what we've been up to over the past few months as well as opportunities for you to get involved.

Team W.I.L.D.

It's beginning to feel a lot like Summer! Why does the Spring season hurry along at such a rate? The early buds are already petals on the ground and tiny chicks are fledging from the nest. Slow down Spring, we love you.

🐝 We celebrated at Forest School yesterday. 🐝

Did you know...

🐾 Bees smell with their feet! They leave a scent mark on each flower they land on.🐾

🪻Bees may visit up to 5000 flowers in one day.🪻

🌹Bees are totally red blind so you may want to rethink you planting for bees to include more blues.🌹
