Love it, Turbo has emptied the toy basket again.

I am extremely sad to report that Ruby, our beautiful little pocket rocket passed to the Bridge last night. Over recent weeks she had been unwell but rapidly deteriorated over the weekend and the decision was made to let her pass.

Our thoughts and love are with Kerensa and her son Reggie. Run fast and free Ruby Doodles and have fun with all the other G4U hounds who have passed before you. 🌈💜

The south of the UK is about to experience a bit of a heatwave with temperatures reaching 32c on Monday and Tuesday.

I post reminders whenever the weather warms up, yet why do I bother I ask myself? People are STILL walking their dog(s) during the hottest part of the day. What part of DANGEROUS do you not understand? Do you seriously want to cook your dog from the inside out, not to mention burnt paw pads.

We walked at 6am today and it was a lovely cool 13c. Remember no dog has died from missing walks.

We had a lovely time at the Ash Football summer fair today. The G4U dogs did really well in the dog show with rosettes being won by Harry, Barney, Bonnie, Melody and Jax.

Elsa got a crash course in learning about the existence of other dog breeds and quite happily stood next to Rascal the long haired chi!

Thank you to everyone who came along to the walk today. Despite it being cold this morning, the sun came out and we had a lovely walk down the Avenue of Trees at Farnham Park.

It was great to see Yve and her 2 girls and also the new kids on the block - Turbo and Robbie.

Oh have I got some wonderful news today as a result of Hug a Hound!

Last week Sheilagh and Barry collected a new foster dog called Robbie from the kennels to train him to live with cats. Today they brought him along to Hug a Hound and little did any of us know that Robbie would find his forever home today!

Debbie and Mark met Robbie and fell for him on the spot! They took him for a walk with Gambit, their Irish lurcher. The boys got on well so as long time supporters of G4U, Robbie left the event not as a foster but as an adopted hound!

Be happy gorgeous boy and I'll see you Monday at the walk!
