A huge thank you!

Without a team of volunteers The Show just could not happen. We've had an amazing day today, and a wonderful turn out on entries

I will post results in the coming week, but for today, thank you to every steward, runner, judge and helper 💚💚💚

Entries accepted;
Tonight 6:30-8pm
Saturday 9am-11pm

How do I enter...

If possible please have your entry form completed and correct change to pay your entry fees (50p per exhibit) ready when you arrive

When you come into the Community Centre there will be a row of stewards, each processing entries for different categories; Produce, Food, Flowers, Craft, Children's and Homebrew

A steward will enter all your entries for their category, placing a label on each and passing them to a runner who will display/arrange your entry with care. All exhibits are staged by runners and this is taken into consideration in judging.

If you are entering classes across different categories please keep hold of your entry form and take this to the next steward. When you've entered all exhibits you will pay the fee and pass your form to the steward.

If you would like your item back please tell the steward and they will stick an extra sticker on the entry label. It is the entrant's responsibility to collect these items after trophies have been awarded.

Items donated are sold after the trophies are awarded to help raise funds for future Shows

Can you help?

We need YOUR HELP to save our local heritage varieties of apples and pears 🍎🍐

From the 1700s (at least!) until the advent of supermarkets in the 1950s, the area around south Leyland, Croston and Eccleston was renowned for its orchards but, sadly, many of these orchards that defined our region have been lost.

With them, many of our heritage varieties of apples and pears which could only be found in this region.

We need your help to locate any old fruit trees from this area, so we're able to propagate them in our orchard and preserve them for generations to come.

Do you know of any old fruit trees from this area? If so, please click on the link in the comment section and fill out the form and I'll be in contact in due course.

Many thanks in advance!
