A message from National Highways:

Important roadworks information
A12 Old London Road, Marks Tey - road repairs and resurfacing work

I am writing to tell you that we plan to carry out road repairs and resurfacing work on Old London Road, Marks Tey, next to the A12 northbound. Once complete, drivers should benefit from a safer and better-defined road surface.
We plan to carry out this work over one night on Saturday 22 August 2026. We will work between 8pm and 6am only, weather permitting.

Traffic control and access

To carry out the work safely, we will need to setup a two-way traffic light control on Old London Road. Local resident access is permitted as normal, however we would like to kindly ask residents to not park along the designated stretch of road whilst we work. This will allow us to complete the work safely and promptly.
Please note that there will be no emergency vehicle access through the road during the work.
would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and apologise for any noise and inconvenience caused by our work.
