A co-created gathering for ANYONE who is interested in young people’s rights, particularly in education.

Bringing together young people fighting for their rights; unschooling families; people who are involved with self-directed learning communities; democratic school students and teachers; mainstream teachers who would like to explore these ideas; play and youth workers; early years practitioners; academics and many more!

We're super excited to be hosting this year's Freedom to Learn Forum at The Beeches near Bamford in the Peak District!

🗺We welcome folk from all parts of the country and beyond and all walks of life who are dreaming into a future where learning is free, wild and tuned in to social and ecological justice.

🌿Join us at this beautiful location, with peaks, woodlands and waterways. The Beeches is a new collectively owned space being collaboratively stewarded into a thriving social centre and ecological sanctuary that helps build belonging, connection and collective power.

Tickets are now on sale for the Freedom to Learn Forum 2025!

This year will be the most co-created ever, with a proposal to move towards a gift economy culture. As always, anyone can propose a session on any topic and a big theme this year will be discussions around Freedom to Learn becoming an independent, cooperatively governed entity; and what that means for our ethos and strategy.

Join us for four glorious days of co-creation, curiosity and collective joy at a beautiful location in Hope Valley in the Peak District.

Isnt this so true? So many children are coming out of the education system unable to progress as they have been fed information so long they have forgotten how to find and learn it. So many adults I know as well dont know how to find the information they're looking for or once they have it how to use it!
