Next interview we conducted is with our chair person no less, Sarah Harwood.
1. What is your role in OUPS and why did you join?
Chair, a role I've held since October 2024. I joined when I finished my final module in 2023. I love OUPS and the weekends were a vital part of my degree experience. I wanted to do anything I could to help keep them going so other students can benefit.

2. When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I recall wanting to be a teacher, and briefly waiting to be a vet. Mostly I wanted to be a mum.

3. What is the best advice you were given, or, less modestly, what is the best advice you have given to someone else that they acted on?
"Don't do two level 3 modules at the same time." I know plenty of people who have, but for me, it was crucial that I didn't.

4. Tell us a joke. Gentle sarcasm is more my style...

5. And lastly, what is your favourite thing about the OUPS weekends in Warwick?
I love meeting students and learning about their motivations and stories. I also love catching up with the committee. OUPS weekends are a great place for learning, whether in the lectures or in the bar afterwards. I always leave exhausted but inspired.
