A week on from opening Beauty and the Beast at Forres Town Hall, and we're finally finding the words…What an INCREDIBLE time we had!
30 young people poured their hearts into every moment on that stage and the feedback from audiences has really blown us away. Remarks on energy, the talent, the set, the lights, but mostly one comment has came up again and again, the connection between the cast. ❤️
That sense of togetherness isn't something that happens by accident.
Behind every performance there’s hours spent building trust, encouraging teamwork, modelling kindness and ultimately creating a space where young people feel safe to be themselves, secure in their value and worth, and ultimately, seen.
The reality is that so much of what we do is youth work. Yes, they are lead by qualified, skilled and passionate teachers and the professionalism on stage is because we work them hard. But here’s the thing, we love them just as fiercely. Through the highs, the lows, the challenges, the triumphs, and everything in between…We will always protect and nurture a small space where our senior students can thrive, grow, and be themselves!
What audiences saw on stage last week was a musical. What we saw and experienced was so much more. ❤️
To the talented team of HYT creatives who guided them, the wonder women who created SUCH beautiful costumes, the carefully chosen kind hearted souls who made the backstage team of dreams, the talented tech team who helped bring it all to life and last but not least, the INCREDIBLE young people who lit up that stage every single show…Thank You for all that you are…what magic we made! ✨✨✨
