Hike for Change 2026 is on 31 October, with one goal: to raise £30,000 to continue our work, keep our programmes running, and install a solar system at our Resource Centre in Ikota, Lagos. The centre is open six days a week and gives children and young people a safe place to read, use computers and build digital skills. When the power goes off, sessions are interrupted and the computers go off A solar system means less money spent on fuel, and uninterrupted power for the children in Ikota who rely on the Centre.

Four months in, and our second Tailoring Programme cohort is making progress.

After our first cohort completed training in June, we started the second in July.

The first two months focused on the basics: learning to sew straight lines, getting familiar with the sewing machines, and paddling it until it doesn’t roll back while doing so.

Over the past two months, they have moved on to sewing with pocketing fabric, using it to practise and make different clothing as they develop their skills.

Next, they’ll move on to learning with proper fabrics and take on more advanced sewing projects.

Your support helps us continue this work.

Join Hike for Change and help us raise funds to keep creating learning and income-generating opportunities like this.

🌍 You can fundraise from anywhere in the world.

For Mr Ernest, his son's scholarship means one less thing to worry about ♥️

During a recent meeting with our scholarship recipients and their parents, Mr Ernest shared with us just how much the scholarship has taken off his family's shoulders.

His son's school fees are covered. So are books, uniforms, notebooks, lessons, extracurricular activities and other school-related costs.

His son can go to school without his family having to constantly worry about how the next expense will be paid.

He was grateful for the opportunity.

This is what our scholarship programme means beyond paying school fees: less financial pressure for a family, and the chance for a child to focus on school.

This is why we are raising funds.

We're raising funds through Hike for Change to keep supporting children through our Scholarship Programme and other programmes at P2P.

You can help us raise those funds from anywhere in the world.
