A wonderful morning together at South Kent Community Church with a harvest theme. We thought about
1) Being thankful and 2) Giving.
Here's your snapshot of the morning. (Oh BTW there was samba dancing!).
HANNAH got us to think about important related words we can make from the word HARVEST: HAVE | STARVE | HEART | SHARE
POLLY suggest we might want TO LOOK back in our week to honour someone for something they have done and TO ASK who have I taken for granted, or who have I ignored?
When we thank someone we are saying “I see you”.
The word “Praise” leads to think about grace received and grace returned.
Good deeds will point to Jesus if your heart is set on him – “Those who look to him are radiant” (Psalm 34:5)
KEHINDE – a reminder to us about the penny talked about during Hannah’s recent message. You all have something to give!
Kehinde expressed his thanks to his church family and a specific thank you to those looking after a loved one.
TOYIN – John 3:16
“God GAVE…!” God gives, and still gives, because he loves.
We are to give ourselves to God.
Love nudges us to give.
Love empowers us to give.
JAMES – each of us have a steward badge on because part of following Christ is to be stewards and we should manage what we have been given (in Christ) with great care and responsibility.
