BAS is a registered charity (number 1186287) that provides information, support and training for parents and carers of autistic children, either diagnosed or undiagnosed in Bristol, South Glos, North Somerset and BaNES.

Have you wondered who the BAS team are? We are a passionate group with a range of backgrounds, all working together to support neurodivergent families and individuals.

We wanted to introduce April. When she is not working, April loves reading, walking in the woods with her dog, Otis, being by the sea, baking, going to the cinema and the theatre and learning the saxophone.

We want to say a huge thank you to Jack for raising funds and awareness . Here are some words from him:

"I made this comic to thank BAS for helping me with my own personal journey of discovery, realising I am an autistic person as well as helping navigate the trials and tribulations of being a father to two autistic boys.
I also hope this comic will be a positive representation of neurodiverse people. I wanted to show that although there are of course a lot of difficulties that come from being autistic, there can also be many strengths and that instead of causing division, it is these differences amongst us all (neurodiverse and neurotypical alike) that should be celebrated.
