After receiving a message from the Deal Museum asking The Deal Pirates for help moving a display cabinet, five Pirates met up and spent 30mins putting the unit in place.
Always pleased to help the lovely volunteers at the museum.
Make sure you visit them when they reopen to the public in April.

Great news for our fortnightly meetings in the Toft Room, thanks Dynamix Technology.

A big thank you to Dynamix Technology Solutions - Deal for their support.

As a new business in the area, they’ve already made a contribution to our community by upgrading and improving the WiFi connectivity in both the newly refurbished Toft Room and the Hollingworth Hall — the largest hall in Deal.

Their generosity means our visitors, community groups, and event organisers can now enjoy faster, more reliable connectivity in two of our most important spaces. Look out for our beer mats in various bars across town including the Royal British Legion in Market Street and The Landmark Community Bar.

A good number of The Deal Pirates went to Sholden C of E Primary School this morning not to study but to start work on a new exciting project.
Well done Pirates and other volunteers from the school.

Ben Turner and Jay Ingram are friends of the Deal Pirates and are organising an amazing event to raise vital funds and awareness for homeless veterans with the Royal British Veterans Enterprise.

"On Saturday 7th March, we’re taking on a 24-hour endurance challenge to raise vital funds and awareness for homeless veterans.
This isn’t about comfort.
It’s about resilience, teamwork, and perspective.
THE CHALLENGE ⏱️
✔️ 24 miles covered
✔️ 24kg carried
✔️ 24 physical & team challenges
✔️ 24 hours outdoors
Once the physical challenge is complete, we’ll spend the night camped out at Betteshanger Country Park, within the woodland forest school area, experiencing just a small glimpse of what many veterans face night after night.

We’re inviting anyone who wants to stand with us to take part.
🔸 £20 entry fee. Paid into the Go Fund me pot.
This isn’t profit – it:
• Registers you with the charity
• Confirms your place on the challenge

Due to the physical, mental, and overnight nature of this challenge, participation is strictly limited to those aged 16+, and dogs are unable to attend. This is purely for safety, welfare, and to ensure the integrity of the challenge. Thank you for understanding.
