🎟️ Fancy a flutter that helps the village too? We’ve just signed up to the Allerdale and Lakeland Lottery — £1 a ticket gets you into the weekly draw for a £25,000 jackpot (plus a bonus iPhone 18 Pro Max this month!), and half of every ticket goes straight to the Borrowdale Institute.
No admin, no faff — just pick your numbers and support the hall at the same time.

📢 We need your help to save our roof.

The Borrowdale Institute in Rosthwaite needs a new roof - and it’s going to cost £20,000.

Borrowdale weather has taken its toll. At the end of the day, this is the wettest inhabited valley in England - and 106 years of it have finally worn our roof out.

Cumberland Council has kindly given us £5,000 towards it. Now we need to raise the remaining £15,000, and we have 15 months to do it or we lose that council funding.

For 106 years, this hall has hosted village fetes, WI meetings, weddings, quiz nights and so much more. Help us keep it standing for the next generation too.
