Nightline is a listening service operating every night of term. Nightline will be a listening service operating ‘out of hours’ (8pm-8am).

Trained volunteers answer calls and emails sent in by students about anything that’s troubling them. From launch, every night of term, trained volunteers answer calls and emails sent in by students about anything that’s troubling them. We operate on five important principles;

1. Confidential:
When you call, what you talk to us about will not be shared outside of Nightline.

2. Anonymous:
When yo

u call, you don’t have to give any identifying details about yourself.

3. Non-judgemental:
We don’t judge, and support you through whatever it is you’re going through.

4. Non-directional:
You decide what you want to talk about and we give you a safe space to do this.

5. Non-advisory:
Nightline gives you space to make your own decision, and supports you in this, rather than telling you what to do. “We’ll listen, not lecture.”
