The is front-page news in this week's Chronicle ...

The Neighbourhood Plan will now become a living, breathing document thanks to everyone who worked on it and everyone who voted for its adoption, after three years of hard work by the steering group, invaluable input from local residents and businesses throughout the consultation process, and well over 2,000 volunteer hours!

Thank you everyone.

Many thanks to Sarah who was on hand to answer Neighbourhood Plan questions at the U3A on Monday, Christine who held a drop-in at Costa Coffee also on Monday and Hilary who has been holding a drop-in at Costa today - you can still catch her there if you're quick!

Also a big thank you to all the shops, surgeries, vets, churches and other Alsager outlets who have kindly displayed posters on their premises.

So on the eve of the referendum, a reminder that polling stations will be open tomorrow from 7am to 10pm, at the Civic Centre, Pikemere School and the Sports Hub on Dunnocksfold Road.

Residents will be asked to vote a straight 'Yes' or 'No' to the question:
"Do you want Cheshire East to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Alsager to help it to decide planning applications in the Neighbourhood area?"

You can see the full document at https://www.alsagerneighbourhoodplan.org.uk; hard copies are also available to read at Alsager Library.

The count will be late tomorrow night and the result will be announced as soon as it's known!

Our volunteers braved the cold this morning in Alsager, encouraging local people to use their vote on Thursday in the referendum.

Lots of people said they'd already sent off their postal votes, which is fantastic to hear.

Thank you to everyone who got involved, asked questions or took away information - it was a really positive morning!

On Monday morning we'll have members of the steering group around to answer questions at Costa Coffee as well as at the U3A, and on Wednesday afternoon again at Costa Coffee.

The polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm on Thursday (27th February). Please !
