10 years of Wick Walking group was well celebrated on Tuesday. A fantastic turnout of past and present members met up for a short walk and buffet celebration. A very social event with many folk reminiscing. Pat organised it well and even baked a beautiful cake to celebrate the event. Just a pity the weather for walking was not on our side, to say it was raining would be an understatement!!
I only have a couple if photos but hopefully Alan M Sinclair will provide more.

This year our Walking Group will be celebrating out 10th anniversary! That will no doubt be quite a few steps.
Pat has booked the Rosebank Bowling Club for the 2nd June to celebrate. Catering will be done by Amalie. Hope to see lots of you all there.

PLEASE if you are in contact with any members from previous years, could you send out an invite to them to join in the celebrations.

Was a breezy and chilly day this Tuesday. Walking Group numbers were low due to various reasons but we still managed a hike around parts of Wick. ❄️💨

It’s holiday season. Walking Group are having a break over the Festive period. We will all be back and ready to burn a few/many calories on Tuesday the 6th January, 2026.

This branch of Walking Scotland - Wick had our annual Christmas dinner on Tuesday after a fine , dry walk to work up an appetite. Think I can vouch for all that it was a great lunch in the Norseman Hotel.

Had a brilliant walk up and around Wick River. The sun shone and we had 13 walkers. Today was the last day for one of our Leaders. Isabel Lundie has been a Leader with our group since 2016. She has been brilliant in her role and we will all miss her as she moves south to Glasgow. She will be a great asset to her new group. Here is a parting photo of us all today. The group we were affiliated to as Paths for All have now after almost 30 years changed to Walking Scotland.
We are now under this umbrella and you can ‘check out’
