📢 10 local authorities have come together in a ground breaking national pilot to successfully adopt new environmental standards for outdoor events.
They achieved a 60% increase in sustainability measures across 60 music, sports and community events.

A big thank you to the participating local authorities of Bristol City Council, Colchester City Council, Gloucester City Council, Leicester City Council, Liverpool City Council, Maldon District Council, Manchester City Council, Norwich City Council, Reading Borough Council and West Northamptonshire Council.
This project was funded by Arts Council England, EarthPercent and participating local authorities. The project was also supported by Festival Republic and the 60 participating events.

📢 BIG NEWS! Today we introduce Vision for Sustainable Events - the new name for Vision: 2025!
Hundreds of organisations have used the Vision: 2025 pledge as a framework for action, but now it’s time to stretch climate ambition to new horizons.
We shift to Vision for Sustainable Events ahead of a year that will see the launch of the Show Must Go On #3, which brings together work from across the sector to create a Climate Transition Plan 2030 for the live events industry: a clear and bold climate vision, providing an evidence base for action and advocacy for Government support. Vision:2025 was launched by industry think-tank Powerful Thinking, as part of the 1st edition Show Must Go On report, a festival industry response to COP21, the 2015 global climate change talks in Paris. Updated in 2020, in a 2nd edition of the report, Vision 2025 outlines UK festival industry impacts on the environment and aims to provide a robust basis for an industry-wide action.
