More photos from our current training class, as the new partnerships practise real-life navigation in Rishon LeZion with the Centre's Michal and Roee, including crossing roads safely and confidently.

This is what our partnerships in training look like – person and dog working together with our team as they build confidence and precision in real-world situations. 🐕

Here is Israel Guide Dog Centre trainer Yariv working with our current class on 'off-curb obstacles' outside the Centre.

This is part of our ongoing training for five new guide dog partnerships – three students with their first dogs and two with replacement dogs – as they develop key mobility skills together.

Eight dogs returned to the Israel Guide Dog Centre yesterday, with their puppy raisers, for evaluation.

This is an important part of our process as they take the next step in their journey towards becoming working guide, PTSD service or emotional support dogs.

Mazel tov to everyone involved on reaching this milestone.

🗣️ "It’s something we are proud to do for a cause that means so much to us."

There is a wonderful full page interview in this week's edition of The Jewish Chronicle with Lisa Marlowe, new trustee of the Israel Guide Dog Centre UK, about our Walking Challenge.

Along with her dog Jaxon, Lisa is joining people all over the UK in walking 78 kilometres over 30 days.

She is undertaking the challenge in memory of her beloved son Jake, who was murdered at the Nova Festival on 7 October 2023 while trying to help others to safety.

In the JC article, Lisa also spoke of her family’s deep connection with the Israel Guide Dog Centre and the three dogs at the Centre named in honour of Jake – Woody, Jake and Marlowe.
