What a fantastic day Tuesday was! ⚽️🖤

Our Glyncorrwg children had a brilliant time at the Urdd Football Festival at Swansea Bay Sports Park.

Seeing them take to the pitch, enjoy themselves and show how much they’ve developed was so special. All that hard work, determination and teamwork really paid off. 🙌🏼

We’re incredibly proud of every one of you. 🖤

More than just football, it’s about confidence, friendships, opportunities and memories that last. ⚽️✨

Our work across the Afan Valley is made possible thanks to our brilliant funding partners Pen y Cymoedd Wind Farm Community Fund CIC, The National Lottery, Community Foundation Wales and Principality Building Society thank you for helping us create opportunities like this for local children. ❤️

Well done, everyone! 👏🏼

𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗔 𝗟𝗢𝗧 … 🥹⭐

Massive congratulations to former Goalgetters captain Jenson John, who has recently signed for Swansea City! 🦢⚽

We’ve known and worked with Jenson since he was year 1 and had the privilege of being part of his football journey for a number of years.

Three sessions a week at one stage. School sessions. After school sessions. Monday nights.

Then came the captaincy, countless hours of football and travelling the country wearing the Goalgetters badge against some of the biggest academies around.

We saw the talent!

But more importantly, we saw the young man grow.

To now see that same young man signing for Swansea City is one of those moments that reminds us exactly why we’ve spent the last 10 years doing what we do.

There will have been so many people who have helped Jenson along the way, but ultimately, he is the one who has earned this opportunity. But it also shows what can happen when natural talent is matched with hard work, dedication, family support and belief.

Hopefully this gives others watching from the same streets, schools and communities the belief that it can be them too.

We’re incredibly proud that Goalgetters forms part of Jenson’s story.

From one of ours to the next chapter.

Go and smash it, Jenson.

Once a Goalgetter, always a Goalgetter. Reach for them stars ⭐
