🥐 Brunch & Braid Workshop:

Our partners at The Caring Kind Project have created this as a fun and creative break for male carers for a chance to get out, have a chat, enjoy some food and pick up a new skill at the same time.

Come along for a complimentary brunch, meet other unpaid carers and learn some genuinely useful hair skills in a relaxed, welcoming all-male group. 🙌

You’ll have a go at:
✨ Classic ponytails
✨ 3-strand braids
✨ Fishtail braids
✨ Buns
✨ French & Dutch plaits

No experience needed (and you’ll practise on head blocks, not live models!).

🥾This Saturday 22nd August, some of our brilliant Carers Leeds staff will be pulling on their walking boots and taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge! ⛰️⛰️⛰️

They’re tackling the challenge as part of our 30th anniversary celebrations, raising funds to help us continue supporting unpaid carers across the city.

Get creative and tell your story at our free Zine Workshop with local artist Beth Hewines at the beautiful Temple Newsam House and Estate.

Never made a zine before? No problem! A zine is a small, self-made booklet where you can express yourself through words, drawings, collage, photos or anything that inspires you. It could tell a personal story, celebrate a favourite hobby, music or artist, or simply capture your thoughts and creativity.

During this relaxed 90-minute workshop, Beth will guide you through creating your very own zine.

There is also an exciting opportunity for your finished zine to be displayed at Leeds City Museum as part of a public exhibition running from October 2026 until May 2027, alongside work created by other local community groups.

This workshop is free, but spaces are limited.
